Corona del Mar State Beach: What to Expect

Corona del Mar State Beach features a half-mile stretch of golden sand bordered by picturesque cliffs and rock formations. Its calm waters make it a favorite spot for swimming, while the jetty at the entrance of Newport Harbor provides excellent opportunities for diving and snorkeling. For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, the tide pools along the rocky shore are perfect for exploring marine life.

Corona del Mar State Beach is also a popular location for beach volleyball, with sand courts available for matches. The beach's picnic areas, complete with fire pits, make it a great spot for gatherings, whether you're planning a family barbecue or a sunset bonfire with friends.

Parking is available in a large lot close to the beach, but it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. For those who prefer a more scenic route, there's a pathway leading down to the beach from Ocean Boulevard, offering panoramic views of the coastline.
