Los Alamitos is a small city in Orange County, CA with a population just over 11,000. A large portion of the land is used as a Joint Forces Training Base. What this means is different branches of the military (such as the National Guard) share the space to train.

Rossmoor

Right next to Los Alamitos is a census-designated place called Rossmoor which is nearly the same size in terms of population.

1. Los Alamitos Race Course

The Los Alamitos Race Course is technically located in the city of Cypress, but uses a Los Al address and has the city in its name!

Horse racing is not as popular as it once was in the 1940s, but the race track draws a steady crowd of regulars looking to gamble on thoroughbreds/quarter horses and locals looking for a unique experience.

2. St. Isidore Historical Plaza

St. Isidore was once a Catholic church that has since transformed into a community event center.
