Table Rock Beach in Laguna Beach, CA: What to Expect

Unlike some of the more popular beaches in Laguna, Table Rock Beach is somewhat hidden so it’s relatively private. The cliffside hugging the shore is lush with vegetation, similar to a scene you might find on the Italian coast!

One of the highlights of Table Rock Beach is the striking rock formation that gives the beach its name. The table-shaped rock extends out into the ocean, creating a natural platform that's perfect for exploring during low tide.

Entrance off PCH

Take the staircase to the left of the private drive

The staircase is quite long, so you'll need a bit of stamina to climb it

Access: The beach is accessed via a steep staircase located at the end of Table Rock Drive (very similar to Thousand Steps Beach). Be prepared for a bit of a hike and wear sturdy shoes

Parking: Parking can be challenging, especially during peak times. Arrive early to secure a spot on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) or in the nearby residential areas.

The first beach view you’ll see as you make your way down the staircase

The cliffside cave is one of the few areas with shade

The table rock formation has eroded over time but is still a prominent feature

Note that there are no restroom facilities here so plan accordingly!
