Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach: What to Expect (2024)

The Sawdust Art Festival is a bi-annual arts and crafts fair held in a Laguna Canyon eucalyptus grove. You can view exhibits from over 200 Laguna Beach artists who specialize in all kinds of media from glassblowing to photography.

There are two festivals held each year, one in the summer and one called Winter Fantasy in the winter. This guide will focus on the summer festival, which attracts roughly 200,000 visitors a year.

The festival started in the 1960s and is named for the sawdust that lines the festival grounds. You can smell the fresh wood chips as soon as you enter!

The Sawdust Art Festival is one of the best things to do in Laguna Beach: great for families or even a nice date night.
