It’s basically a small bedroom community bisected by the 405 freeway. Most of the city is made up of single family residential homes.

1. Mile Square Regional Park

Mile Square Regional Park is a whopping 600 acres! According to the website, the amenities include:

  • 3 regulation golf courses

  • 3 soccer fields

  • 3 baseball and three softball diamonds

  • an archery range

  • 2 fishing lakes

  • concession-operated bike and paddle boat operations

  • and numerous picnic shelters

A weekly farmer’s market is held here as well as the annual Moon Festival and Sunset Classic Car Show and Concert (both in September).

2. Fountain Valley Skating Center

This popular indoor skating rink has been around for decades!

3. Tour Heritage Park

Tucked away next to the Fountain Valley Library, you’ll find Heritage Park, a small grass park with historic buildings.

The Fountain Valley Historical Society offers tours on Saturdays.
