Cleo Street Beach in Laguna Beach, CA: What to Expect

Looking south

Cleo Street Beach is located along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) just a short walk from downtown Laguna Beach, CA. There are no significant landmarks on the shore, so it’s not nearly as popular as the other beaches in the area.

However, there is one really cool thing about Cleo Street Beach - it’s a popular location for scuba divers due to the Foss 125 (aka Cleo Street Barge) ship wreckage just a few dozen yards out from shore and 55 feet below.

The steel barge was constructed in 1919 and used to transport gravel for a sewer line project. It sank in 1958 during a storm.
